This blog is dedicated to memories of my father, Wayne Gallant; his brother, Paul; and their father, Lorenzo.  They never saw our ancestral home in life, but have certainly been there in spirit!  I had the pleasure of hearing many, many stories about our heritage from all three of these patriarchs, who continued the rich Acadian tradition of  storytelling. In my immediate family, the tradition of sharing stories about heritage and culture is being passed down from me to me own son, Austin.

We descendants have embraced a new tradition of bringing our passed family members along during our visits to the Maritime region, whether it be via a photograph or a bit of their ashes to scatter into the sea. Our fathers are missed, but always with us!

I will eventually add details about my darling mother, Gloria, and the Miller-Simpson clan. Stay tuned for some really great stories from the Florida Panhandle and beyond!
